2. Template Window
The Template Window is designed to make it easy for you select and deselect template nodes. It shows your template as a tree. You can expand or collapse it to show more or less information. It displays node labels, without content, to reduce clutter. As you select nodes, their content is added to the Composition Window. The content is also displayed in the Content Window, so you can change it if necessary.
Each line item in a template is considered a tree node.
- Nodes with folder icons represent categories. They can be expanded to display alternatives or collapsed to hide them.
- To expand a node, click on the key icon to the left of the folder icon.
- To collapse a node click on the key icon again.
- Nodes with paper icons represent alternatives. They can be selected and marked or unmarked. When an alternative is marked, its category is marked also.
- To select a node without marking it, click adjacent to its text. When selected, a node's content is displayed in the Content Window and is available for pasting into other locations.
- To mark a node, click on its text. When marked, the node is displayed with a yellow highlight and its content is displayed in both the Content and Composition Windows.
- To unmark a node, press shift and click on its text. Unmarking a node removes the yellow highlight and removes the node's content from the Composition Window.
