14. Create KwikText Shortcut

The easiest way to run KwikText is by using a shortcut button, placed on your desktop.
  1. Locate the file "kwiktext.jar" using Windows Explorer.
  2. Right-click on "kwiktext.jar".
  3. Click on the Create Shortcut selection.
  4. Windows will create a shortcut labeled "Shortcut to kwiktext.jar". It places the shortcut in the same folder as KwikText, not where you want it.
  5. Drag the shortcut to your desktop.
  6. Rename the shortcut by right-clicking the shortcut icon, then selecting Rename, then typing KwikText.
An added advantage: The shortcut will be valid and still work even when you update KwikText, as long as you save kwiktext.jar to the same location each time.
