20. Create Template

Virtually all KwikText operations depend on templates. The standard way to create a new template is:
  1. Click the New template button. Focus changes to the template box, ready for you to begin typing.
  2. Type the name of the new template and press Enter. The new template is created, but there is nothing in it. The Template Window is blank
  3. Click the Edit Template button and create your template.
  4. When you've finished, click the Done button. The Template Window displays your new template, ready for you to use.
Template names, like project names, should be short and descriptive. The program will not let you type more than 64 characters. You can use upper and lower case letters, spaces and numbers. Avoid using punctuation and non-printing characters.

Troubleshooting
  1. If you type the name of an existing template, it will show up in the Template Window. The window won't be blank as expected.
