39. Uninstall Java

Uninstall Java using the Windows Control Panel:
  1. Click the Windows Start button, then Settings, then Control Panel. The Control Panel pops up.
  2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon in the control panel. The Add/Remove Programs Properties window pops up.
  3. Click on the line starting with Java 2 Runtime Environment, then click the Add/Remove button. The program to remove Java will begin. Follow the instructions to remove Java.
  4. You can also remove Java Web Start using the same process.
