2. How KwikText Works

KwikText lets you perform tasks by selecting from choices contained in templates. You create a template for each task. A template contains whatever you need to help complete your task: instructions, prompts, keywords, commands, labels, comments, translations, and most important: lists of alternatives for each line item or subtask. Template structure assures that tasks are organized and performed in proper sequence, and template alternatives remind you of choices and assure that nothing is forgotten.

Templates are plain, simple text files with material indented to indicate classification or ownership. You can create and modify them at any time, even while you're using them.

KwikText displays each template as a tree in the Template Window. When you click on a topic, all related choices are displayed. When you click on a selection, it's placed on your system clipboard, instantly available to be inserted wherever you want. In other words, you just paste your selection using Ctrl-V or a "Paste" button. You never have to manually copy anything.

Multiple selections are automatically collected in a Composition Window, letting you create entire sentences, paragraphs, or documents without typing. As you select and deselect choices, the composition changes, but the organizational structure, determined by your template, remains unchanged. In other words, proper sequence is maintained, no matter what order you make selections.

You can use selections as they are, and never type anything. Or you can manually change parts of a selection if required.
