6. Creating a Template

You can create a new template any time you want.
  1. Click the "New" button on the template bar. The cursor jumps to the template name box and is ready for you to type.
  2. Type the name of the template. Give it a short but descriptive name.
  3. Click the "Edit Template" button. The template editor pops up, ready for you to begin typing.
  4. Type the template headings and indented alternatives. Use only one indentation space to distinguish alternatives from their headings. Make sure all alternatives have the same indentation level.
  5. Click the "Done" button on the toolbar at the top of the Template Editor Window.

When you're done, KwikText displays your template as a tree in the Template Window. Here's what it looks like. You can click on the key to the left of each folder icon to display the alternatives.
