8. Collect and Paste

You can build sentences, paragraphs, or entire documents using Collect and Paste. Use this feature to create a variety of similar documents from a series of alternative selections. No matter which order nodes are selected, the structure of the document is retained.

The content of each node you click is displayed in the Composition Window. Punctuation is added automatically. The Composition Window acts as a dynamic clipboard that changes as you select or deselect nodes. Just press Ctrl-V to paste its contents into your current document at any time.

To use Collect and Paste:
  1. Click the "Clipboard" button above the Composition Window. The button color changes to yellow to indicate that the Composition Window is acting as your system clipboard. If the button is already yellow, no need to press it again. You can change the clipboard back to the Content Window by clicking the Content Window's "Clipboard" button.
  2. Each template node you click is highlighted and added to the Composition Window. You can right-click a template node to remove an item.
  3. Go to the document and click where you want the text inserted.
  4. Press Ctrl-V and the collected text is inserted into your document.
