9. Template Labels
Template labels provide a way for you to identify blocks of text. A label is like a name. You can use it as a substitute for a longer block of text. The label shows up in the Template Window, but the associated content, not the label, is used for click and paste and other KwikText operations. Labels reduce clutter, help you remember key phrases, and help you distinguish subtle variations among similar phrases.
When you use a template label, your text item consists of two parts: the label and content. The node's content is the text enclosed by square brackets. The label is the text before the first square bracket. Here is a template using labels:
And here is the tree. When you select "First Notice" the complete phrase will be inserted when you click and paste.
